Glydways, an AI mobility startup from Dubai, is changing the way people move in city transport with its autonomous, on demand pods that are capable of following Dubai’s 10X mobility plan for 2026.
The company, which is supported by local investors and totally in line with Dubai’s move towards smart city infrastructure, puts on the streets AI operated pods that not only have Dubai Metro data inside but also communicate with traffic lights and smart city dashboards to find the best route, lessen traffic, and lower emissions.
These pods feature in the broader “Dubai 2026” innovation wave alongside AI enabled utilities, digital twin based planning, and green tech ecosystems. Glydways work is closely aligned with Dubai government on a last mile connectivity initiative for high density areas and main tourist corridors, the effectiveness being gauged through real time safety, latency and energy efficiency metrics.
The city is transforming itself from just a trading hub into “global innovation archipelago” where local startups and global tech giants jointly develop and build AI based urban infrastructure solutions which are scalable.
