Eid Al Fitr 2026: UAE Cities Roll Out Free Parking and Travel Benefits for Holiday Rush

Eid Al Fitr 2026

Officials throughout the United Arab Emirates have announced travel relaxations for Eid Al Fitr 2026 because Abu Dhabi and Dubai have decided to suspend public parking fees during the holiday period.

The Roads and Transport Authority of Dubai announced that all public parking spaces will remain free during the first three days of Eid, according to their official statement. The multi-level parking facilities will continue to charge customers for using their facilities.

The regular parking rates will take effect following the conclusion of the three-day holiday period. The Dubai Metro service will extend its operating hours from March 18 through March 21 on both the Red and Green lines because increased travel demand requires trains to operate from 5:00 AM until 1:00 AM the next day.

The services on Sunday, March 22, will begin at 8:00 AM and run until 1:00 AM. The Dubai Tram service will operate during the first four days of operations from 6:00 AM until 1:00 AM, with Sunday service beginning at 9:00 AM and ending at 1:00 AM. The S’hail app provides commuters with live updates about bus and marine transport schedules, which include water taxis and ferries, and traditional abras, because holiday timings may change.

Abu Dhabi authorities have implemented an extensive measure. Q Mobility announced a four-day suspension of both public parking fees and the Darb toll system, offering motorists additional relief during the festive period.

The official body required drivers to follow parking regulations because they needed to maintain proper traffic flow. The initiative helps to decrease traffic congestion while making travel easier for people who celebrate Eid with their families and friends throughout the emirates.
